Experience the hometown of Nobel Prize winning author, Alice Munro. Alice is revered as a fundamental cornerstone in Canadian literature as her approach to short stories has revolutionized the art form and she is admired on an international scale. Despite her formidable success, Munro comes from humble beginnings as she hails from Wingham, ON. This gorgeous, turn-of-the-century town is nestled in the heart of Huron County and is a mere hour west of Stratford.
Actor and playwright Kelly McIntosh will take you on an eye-opening tour of the real places which make up many of Munro’s fictitious stories. McIntosh allows you to put yourself at the centre of Alice Munro’s incredulous imagination and mingle with the true-to-life characters who will share with you the ‘real’ story’. All this takes place across the singularly gothic landscape of Huron County and makes for a remarkable experience for any Munro fan.
