Spark Joy in St. Marys

St.MarysAre you ready for some great surprises under 20 minutes from Stratford? Extend your stay….Extend your play!

Covid-19 Update: Some locations and activities included in this blog post may have altered services or cancellations due to the current pandemic. Please check with each business or group directly or contact Stratford Tourism for more information.

You can find the point where new and old meet in St. Marys. For the craft lovers, you’ll discover incredible limestone buildings downtown that hold contemporary, happy fabrics at Hyggeligt as well as workshops to make scented candles (more than 300 scents) when you visit Village Craft and Candle. Get the rub, spice that is, at Troyers Spices for the “spice-of-your-dreams”. Blended in house and salt-free, they have created 45 exclusive blends.

After checking out the shops, you’ll be ready for a freshly brewed coffee at Snapping Turtle Coffee Roasters. Try the homemade cookies and consider adding Thursday night live music to your itinerary. Oh, and they are licensed, too.

Back in the car, it’s off to Stonetown Artisan Cheese. The shop is located on a close by farm, so you get to see the Holstein cows that produce the high-quality milk to make this amazing swiss-style farmstead cheese unpasteurized without additives. Taste a few before you decide on your favourites to take home.

Just a short drive further and you’ll arrive at Science Hill Golf Club. After your round of golf, hop inside the course restaurant for a round of drinks and some tasty food.

Hit the road with your crew and make this road trip yours!
